PTW’S Construction Team and Valleyview Branch Assist in the Rebuild of Tolko Industries’ High Prairie Facility
Our Construction group in collaboration with our Valleyview branch recently completed an electrical and commissioning assistance project for Tolko Industries which involved rebuilding and installing cable tray, MCC sections, PLCs, field run trays, and safety-critical devices, in the wake of a devastating fire in High Prairie, Alberta, that impacted the entire facility. PTW was directly involved in key areas of the rebuild, including the green end, blending, and drying areas, along with the fiber optic backbone, which was crucial infrastructure for the facility.
Tolko Industries is a major economic contributor in High Prairie, supporting several hundred full-time positions in the area. The company’s facility is an oriented strand board (OSB) mill, covering 700 million square feet and producing OSB sheathing, OSB STR1 sheathing, and non-residential OSB.
We are incredibly proud of our team’s dedication to this project and to the client. Through the collective collaboration between our PTW team and the client, we were able to expedite the reconstruction through the expertise of our highly competent and talented labor force.
