PTW Powers Alberta’s Clean Energy Future with Critical Role in Sharp Hills Wind Farm
PTW’s unique expertise and commitment were instrumental in the successful development of the Sharp Hills Wind Farm, a key clean energy project in Alberta led by Borea Construction and EDP Renewables Canada Ltd. PTW provided the skilled labour and specialized equipment needed to handle critical tasks like wiring the wind turbines and installing fibre optic cables. PTW’s contributions were essential in ensuring the project stayed on schedule and met its goals, demonstrating our ability to manage large-scale, high-impact projects with precision and expertise.
The Sharp Hills Wind Farm is a critical piece of infrastructure, large enough to power over 160,000 homes in Alberta, significantly boosting the local energy supply. It also helps the environment by saving more than 2 billion litres of water each year and reduces harmful air pollution. The farm’s 67 turbines generate clean energy and strengthen Canada’s energy security by adding more renewable options to the grid.
PTW’s completed its required tasks without causing any delays, helping ensure the farm was up and running on schedule.
As Alberta continues its transition to cleaner energy, PTW is proud to support projects like Sharp Hills that will benefit both the environment and local communities for years to come.
By playing such an essential part in the Sharp Hills Wind Farm, PTW continues to lead the way in renewable energy projects, delivering results that contribute to a more sustainable future for Alberta.
