PTW Completes Instrumentation and Electrical Work for Carbon Capture Storage Units Project in Northern BC
From January to August 2024, PTW played a critical role in integrating cutting-edge carbon capture storage (CCS) technologies across multiple sites in northern British Columbia. As part of this pilot project, PTW provided complete electrical and instrumentation services, contributing to a key milestone in advancing carbon reduction efforts in the region. Integrating CCS technologies at these facilities is a significant step toward achieving cleaner industrial processes and mitigating greenhouse gas emissions.
Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) is a vital tool in the fight against climate change. It involves capturing carbon dioxide (CO₂) emissions from industrial processes—such as power generation, steel production, and cement manufacturing—before they enter the atmosphere. The captured CO₂ is then compressed, transported, and stored deep underground in secure geological formations. This technology enables industries to reduce their carbon footprint while continuing operations, offering a sustainable pathway toward net-zero emissions.
For PTW, participating in this pilot project is a proud achievement. It sets the stage for future CCS initiatives and reinforces our position as a leader in innovative industrial solutions. The successful completion of this work reflects our commitment to sustainability and excellence in delivering complex projects that contribute to a greener future.
