PTW Branch Operations feature of the week – Bonnyville’s Maintenance team
Our Bonnyville Maintenance team is best known for its diverse skillset and ability to offer a one-stop-shop for a variety of industrial maintenance-related services that allow for an increase in efficiency throughout the client’s entire operations. The team provides their talent-base to the Bonnyville and Cold Lake regions, and as far North as the Anzac region.
Our Maintenance team excels in their fast-paced environment and works on a variety of sites each day, preforming electrical & instrumentation (E&I), burner management, skid installs and SCADA programming for a variety of clients. We are one of the few businesses in the area that can provide full-service support, servicing an entire project from start to finish. The team also has a number of longstanding clients including Strathcona Resources and Canadian Natural Resources Limited where they have been servicing their thermal facilities for the last 15 to 20 years.
At Strathcona Resources’ Tucker Lake and Orion sites, we provide E&I services and have assisted on small projects and commissioning. Our team is also active at CNRL’s Wolf Lake site and provides Management of Change (MOC) based assistance on small projects. “All crews are also on-call which has proven to be a value-added service for our customers and they have been extremely happy with this extra service we have been able to provide”, comments Rodney Graus, Maintenance Services Area Manager for the Bonnyville branch. On-call services are available to all customers we interact with and is an available service provided by all our branches.
Collaboration and teamwork are of great importance to our teams, not only for the Bonnyville Maintenance branch, as all PTW teams host daily site debrief meetings to discuss the previous days events while addressing issues and concerns from that day. “No day is the same. Our teams are extremely busy on an array of work, but we are still able to support each other while prioritizing a high-level of communication with our clients. Not only are we able to keep clients up-to-date because of these meetings, but we are also able to facilitate team cohesion by providing teams the space to work together to tackle an issue and remain in-tune with one another”, says Rodney. “Feedback is encouraged from all team members and all opinions are considered which helps to improve ways of working in the field to ultimately deliver a quality end-result”.
